hands that save
hands that save is inspired by the moment in Matthew 14:30–31 when Peter begins to sink beneath the waves and cries out for help, and Christ immediately reaches out His hand to catch him. Created from a deeply personal season of loss and upheaval, this piece reflects what it feels like to be overwhelmed by forces beyond your control, and the quiet, powerful grace of being held within them. Rather than depicting rescue as escape, it speaks to the ways we are sustained through presence, through care, and through the people who refuse to let us disappear. This work is dedicated to Bridget, Daniel, Sarah, Luke, Marie, and Ashton, whose steady presence became the hands that carried me through.
